Adjunct professor at ESPM where he teaches the disciplines of Digital Platforms, Game Essentials, Game Design and Game Analysis for the graduations of Information Systems and Advertising. He is an advertiser, graduated (2000) and post-graduated (2007) in Advertising and Publicity from ESPM, institution through which he also earned a master's degree (2011) and a PhD (2017) in Communication and Consumer Practices. He did a sandwich doctorate at the Fakulta Masmédií da Paneurópska Vysoká Skola in the city of Bratislava (Slovakia) in 2016 - between 2017 and 2018 he did his post-doctoral research with the theme Advergames in the same Slovak institution.
At ESPM's São Paulo unit, he works as supervisor of the game disciplines of the Information Systems graduation. He has been working with digital projects and game creation since 1998 and has worked for advertising agencies for brands such as Google, Danone, Intel, Ford, Itaú, Vivo, McDonalds and others. In the last few years, he has written several texts about game design for specialized media and had articles published in the collections Mapping the Digital - Cultures and Territories of Play and Levelling Up - The Cultural Impact of Contemporary Videogames, both published by Inter-Disciplinary Press of Oxford (UK). He has participated in international conferences on the subject and published, by Cengage Learning, the books Game Design: business models and creative processes and Game Culture: communication, entertainment and education. Parallel to his academic production, he has released card games, board games, internet advergames and iPad/iPhone games. He is the author of the Vikings version of the classic game War from Grow Jogos.
