PhDin Political Science from the University of São Paulo (2001), where he also received a Master's degree (1995). In Japan he was a visiting researcher at Keio University (1993) and Sophia University (1999-2000). He is currently Academic Coordinator of the Brazilian Center for International Business Studies & Corporate Diplomacy (CBENI & DiC) at ESPM. Member of the Center for Asian Studies and Business and professor in the International Relations Course at ESPM.
At the University of São Paulo, he is a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Japanese Language, Literature and Culture (FFLCH); a member of the International Conjuncture Analysis Group/USP; a senior researcher at the International Relations Research Center where he coordinates the Group of Studies on Asia (GEASIA). He was president of the Brazilian Association of Japanese Studies (ABEJ) 2016-2018. He was a member of the Fiscal Council of the Brazilian Association of International Relations (ABRI) 2015-2017. He has developed research on Asian issues involving issues of economic integration and regional relationships, particularly involving Japan, China, Korean Peninsula and Taiwan. Associate of Nova Investe Business Consulting, Develops voluntary activities as a Director of the YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) of São Paulo and as a board member of ACM/Lapa.
He worked as a political-economical analyst for the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), a governmental agency under the Ministry of Economy, Foreign Trade and Industry (Meti) of Japan, during the period from 2000 to 2007.
He was a member of the Fiscal Council of the Brazilian Association of International Relations (ABRI) 2015-2017. Has developed research on Asian issues involving economic integration and regional relationships, particularly involving Japan, China, Korean Peninsula and Taiwan. Associate of the business consultancy Nova Investe, Develops voluntary activities as Director of the YMCA (Associação Cristã de Moços) of São Paulo and as counselor of ACM/Lapa.
