Pedagogical Innovation Cycle
The Pedagogical Innovation Cycles promote pedagogical training activities aimed at high school teachers.
Orienting teaching to and for learning requires significant transformations in educational environments at all levels, from primary to higher education. With the onset of the pandemic (March 2020), this process has gained speed. Even though it presupposes structural changes, society and educational institutions place great expectations on teachers to promote this transformation through their teaching practice. In this context, the Pedagogical Innovation Cycle aims to be a space that inspires education professionals interested in teaching and learning, transforming teaching spaces into learning spaces, transforming students into learners, contributing to a cognitive society.
The Pedagogical Innovation Cycle promotes a varied menu of pedagogical training activities. They are planned and conducted by ESPM professors and guest professors. Although they attract different profiles of professionals, they are particularly designed for high school teachers. The program honors a contemporary thematic agenda, and the activities can assume different characteristics - lectures, workshops, etc. -, although all of them are focused on the same theme. -, although all of them are offered in an online format. This gives it an inclusive character in that professionals coming from public and private institutions, distributed all over the country, can participate, as long as they register.
Aware that we live in learning-intensive societies, learning all the time and everywhere, the boundaries separating educational environments are increasingly blurred. Therefore, this initiative welcomes professionals interested in contributing to meaningful educational experiences, even though the program is designed for the interests of high school teachers.
