André Arruda, Industrial designer, specialized in Strategic Design and Master in Design with focus on Foresight of Sustainable Scenarios for Cities. Works for over 10 years in the development of projects focused on design of futures applied in strategic planning and innovation ecosystems, working on the intersection between human-centered methodologies with Foresight applied in global contexts. In 2022 he served as a Designer and Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Governance Lab - MIT GOV/LAB, a laboratory focused on government innovation in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Participated in the coordination of Recife's long term plan - Recife 500 anos, working on the integration between public management, civil society organizations, academia and the private sector. He was Design Manager and coordinator of the Futures Design course at Echos - Desirable Future Lab, an international consultancy in design and innovation.
